Tui Na Body Work for Animals – Chiropractic, Acupressure, Massage

(Tui = Push; Na = Grasp) is one of the 5 branches of Traditional Chinese Medicine and is an ancient therapeutic method used in the prevention and treatment of disease. Manipulations and passive movements are used to bring about changes in the body.  This manual therapy is used for preventing and treating disease.  It can regulate meridians, soothe joints, and promote circulation of Qi and Blood. Tui Na has also been used for the treatment of Musculo-skeletal conditions, disc problems, osteoarthritis and peripheral nerve paralysis.

Tuia Na acts on the principal that “where there is pain, there must be a blockage of Qi”. Thus by potentially correcting a misalignment of bones and soft tissues, normal blood stasis and Qui can be restored.

There are Four Requirements for Tui Na:

  • Duration
  • Force
  • Evenness
  • Softness

The Clinic Application:

  • Promotes circulation
  • Regulates digestive function
  • Smooths flow of Liver Qi
  • Improves mobility of joints
